In 2006, Nikki was asked by her Pilates mentor, Catherine Earp, to join her team of talented teachers and become a professionally trained Pilates instructor. Ready to start her next endeavor, Nikki traveled to New York City and to D.C. to train with the world-renowned Romana’s Pilates organization. After completing her 700 hour apprenticeship program, Nikki taught Pilates at several venues before partnering with Kelly Delyannis at Mind Body Works.
Eternally a student, Nikki continues her Pilates education by attending seminars and taking lessons with master teachers all over the country. She is a highly accomplished professional who believes in the power of the mind. An expert at teaching the mind/body connection, Nikki prides herself with the ability to tailor a workout based on the energy and capabilities of each student. Authentic Pilates has enhanced Nikki’s overall health and wellness. She has recovered from injuries and significantly increased her core strength and flexibility. Nikki believes in the power of Pilates and enjoys teaching and encouraging others to find the same positive results.
Kirsten has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including pediatrics, intensive care, and outpatient counseling. She graduated from Virginia Tech with both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Nutrition. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center.
